The many escapes* one must make from one’s inherited, unconscious self, to be free of and in one self.

The dreamy, semi-conscious state in which most daily “live, move, and have their being” is communicable, contagious.

The US Constitution need not govern human politics, but human psychology, social psychology, the human condition, the human constitution.

Perhaps we are meant so to be.

Perhaps there is no meant to be.

But it is not so that we clearly live in a God blessed, nor in a God damned, world… nor that we exist in a merely natural world with no other sense in, beyond or to it than nihil.

But it does seem clear that in our daily lives we inwardly live beclouded – most unawares – to such questions… to such whatever realities.

This common daily becloudment does seem to be one of the facts of life.

Those unable to see they support a façade.

One may assess a mind by how many clichés and common expressions and ideas are casually used.

And more: by how little this is noticed.

Support for genuine self and social identity in a too-clean façade of nostalgic decorations.

Billy Graham might have been more interesting if he had been “saved” at 56, rather than 16.

Deer that are shot and killed these days are “harvested”.

Deer hunters are direct enough to hunt, shoot and kill a deer… but not enough to say it.
