If one understandably views life and world from the view and with ideas sub species humanae, then to daily life disease and especially death are the Bale-lords of the World.

But are they so sub specie aeternitatis ?

The title itself describes clearly enough the condition, the plight, the quest… Nietzsche’s madman, after preaching in the churches, recognized his time had not yet come. For perhaps the vast majority of “Christians” in America, Nietzsche and his madman are still far distant in time, space and mind.

Yet a postmortem dei quest beyond the traditions of ideas and understandings of Nature, Creation, History, Man, Church,… is a challenge to some, and perhaps a necessary seeking, to others.

Are not those who do not cognize the mind of their time only find their selves carried along by it?

While Thoreau willingly limited his travels and explorations to, in the main, Concord and its environs, I certainly never sought, nor believed to be found in n/Nature, what it required me traveling in the world to seek.

The ongoing unconscious status, that aside from murder and sinful sex we do not stand in ongoing relation to “eternity” within time.

Time does not seem to have any clear intentionality, or demands to me, but I do want to be deliberate with the time of life I have.

Those who float unreflectively in History are hardly those who will pass it on knowledgeably to their descendants.

While at least professing publicly a belief in God, many leaders live and act fearless of God.

No matter how many ways we seek to build on earth our home, it can, of course, only temporarily be.
