Perennial ahistória
It seems probable to assume that the lack of knowledge and sense of History present so massively in our time, was common during most in times prior.

Irresponsible adults
Those who are willing to embrace even nonsense, in order to support their opinions.
-
Heaven or Wisdom?
Most I know are more concerned with “Heaven”, or antiplace Hell, than living and dying Wise.
And while they are not especially misosophical or antisophic, they are and live more asophically.
In other words: religion dominates philosophy in and for them.
-

Mutualities
The French origin of “individualism” (de Maistre, ctitical) and its adoption and subsequent use (eg Tocqueville) to name singles in collectives, groups, societies,…is far from helpful in understanding social and “individual” psychologies. For most are better understood by what they share, what they have in common, what they are mutually with their families, social groups, clubs, cities/towns, states, sports teams, “politics”, nationalities,… than what they misname “individualities”.

Ministers of Heaven? Ministers of Earth?

Saint Peters Basilica, morning May 9, 2023 While ministers* are believed to at least make a small communication of Heaven to Earth, or perhaps more realistically from Earth to Heaven… few seem to have any real inner character of transcendence necessary for such this- and otherworldly communications.
Perhaps for that true inner masters are needed, and in our massively mundane times there are very few of those. And Hitory reveals a few as well.
*directly from Latin minister (genitive ministri) “inferior, servant, priest’s assistant” (in Medieval Latin, “priest”), from minus, minor “less,” hence “subordinate” (from PIE root *mei- (2) “small”) + comparative suffix *-teros. Compare with “master”, from magis “more,” from PIE *mag-yos-, comparative of root *meg- “great”.
