What unconscious assumptions about the world and life and (our) time determine how we live each day?

What I had not really considered when I began serious study of History in the winter of 74/75… was that when you “catch History”… you then have to live in it.

“God” gives Sense to Life, whether it has it or not.

Perhaps in a sick way it is consoling to assume the belief that one is judged from “above”… for is it not more desolating to feel there is no attendant at all?

But then…are we really so important?

It is the singularity of a life, search, sight, insights,… – not solipsism – which constitutes the basis of the truths of these Notes… let no one else agree.

“Rome” fell, and in reality, as our world, is perennially “falling”. Though it seems equally perennial that most societies imagine their’s is not.

“Christianity” is clearly subservient to its believers.
