Most humans, be they “leaders” or the lead, are so engulfed in their present time, that they do not learn the lessons from history, during which humans were engulfed in their present times.

And then in moments…years of study and thought, travels and observations, join with the news of the day to bring an insight into History, and Christian theology, and the other religious views of Time.

and the low motivations of those in high office.

Observing the two sides in the war now in Israel/Gaza, and the attempt to assume a moral superiority for immoral acts… is a lesson in the truths and realities of mass social moralities.

Those who say: “How can this happen in 19..?”, “…in the 20th century?”,… “…in the 21st century?!”,… “How can this happen in 2023?” show how ignorant, naïve and unaware of history and mankind they are.

It has taken me decades of exploration and searching in a “wilderness” named Goethe to finally find my way to solid barren peaks… above the trees as it were…from which to see his view around. It was, as it happened, reading in a free 1972 MA Thesis “Goethe and the Classical Ideal”… The experience was so essential that it is taking me days before I can attend at all again to anything else.

This perhaps would not have happened without my trip to Italy, to Sicily; but it did.
