Listening to the local radio stations in Alabama, one would think we lived in the imagined holy land today. And the apocalypse is always just near… And of course Christ died for y/our sins.

Speaking with those dead to vitality before they die…

The obscurance of the stars by the blue of the day sky allows man to live his insignificance less awares.

Essentially during this visit to my “hometown”, into this area of the country, including tracing the maternal side of my family in country Alabama… really no one came even close to understanding what I’ve been doing for 50 years.

An overcast sky and the wind on a cool fall day, takes me back 50 years… more in feelings I had long forgotten, and didn’t even know existed.

For a second night, deep in the lower mid-central Alabama countryside – with light pollution from only one, annoying, avoidable, but present source across a field – I was able to see the Milky Way as I do not remember the last time I have been able to see it. Possibly when I was traveling in Utah area? 1974?

I could recognize not only the “Milky Way”, but, especially last night, laying on a towel on the ground, the “three dimensionality” of the “universe”. And had I been under the influence of, for example, marijuana, I suspect I would’ve returned inside a changed, if only, in the short term to medium term, person.

Apparently, no matter how massive the failures, pervasive the ignorances, homelt the simplifications during his two terms as President of the USA, W is still turned to for thoughts and insights (“wisdom”?). I see a man who has not much deepened, evolved, matured, wisened.

Man has on the earth no home, but he certainly tries to create one there.

Death makes life an ultimate test, a trial.

Their place is exotic to us; our place is exotic to them.
