And what if the world’s various beliefs and ideas of the World, Man, Meaning…are just, as it were, elements in which the human spirit may or must struggle, and more than less irrelevant, unreal in themselves?

Watched a good example [organized by Concord, given from Cambridge] of what passes for “theology”, “religious thought”, and both “Concord” and the “Harvard Divinity School”. They would theologize God to death.

Life, the entire world, humanity, history, nature,… all would be placed within a theological system of explanation, and salvation.

So, in a way, both the thoughtless “philistines” and the thoughtful theologians are both in a kind of word dream. The churchgoers listen to and believe the theologians; the theologians do their preaching, imagining they speak of and for “God”. Both, imho, are in a kind of dream state.

On CNN just now, Americans will have been able to hear the Muslim call to prayer in Jerusalem during the live broadcast. Many will never hear it otherwise.

What do we do?, what and how do we be?, in the unknown life time that is given to us to live? Life times are much determined by what we believe is its sense and meaning.

Most live by the life times of life meanings they were brought up in.

Academic papers need try to be understood and agreeable to, minimally, other scholars and departments. These “notes” while they may be so agreeable to none, are true to the singular sights and insights they record. So, not shared facts and truths, but an individual’s facts and truths.

Whether there deeper be some ultimate essential anthropology, beneath, inside all humanity’s myths, beliefs, religions, philosophies,…, whether a single human has its own, or some group’s thoughts, imaginations, beliefs, it is evident that the individual, rather the single tend to see the world, life, Meaning to be like its self.

Idiocosm. Macrocosm.

The terrible “evil” deeds of men and women to men and women of (eg) the 20th century* are terrible manifestations of the passivity of the human being in social group.

“They” en masse are we – whether shooting, or shopping.

*the “century” based on the birth of a crucified man.

Would the polities, projects, passions, psyches of Human History be, have been, what they are, and were, if the sky of stars suggesting other worlds were not daily hidden by the blues?

When what one would accomplish, learn, understand, be, is not in contrast to others, but death.
