Raised not knowing it in post-World War II growing American prosperity, with a lifestyle improving continuously, in a sheltered, orderly, polite society, all of this and more bore inherent inarticulated assumptions as to the nature of society, history, life, mankind,…many of which were naïvely, anachronistically unrealistic.
