Aside from the mass polite superficiality with which the word “God”is casually used, the word itself is rather an exclamation than a noun. Though it is not so understood.

Has paradise no more whatsoever reality than an advanced ape’s dreams?

Whence the assumption that life is for happiness? Certainly Jefferson did not believe in “the pursuit of happiness” as it is massively pursued now.

The person Donald Trump is indeed, as Harris noted, not really serious. And in my view, it is the same with the mentality of the majority of his voters. 

Those who don’t know they haven’t started to think.

Those who walk by a bookshelf thoughtlessly…

Many who live by or return to their “faith”, do not seem to have often ventured in thought far from it.

Certainly not to have considered Martin Luther’s obsession with it in relation to the larger history of thought.
