Trump as an influential public figure is only possible due to the quantity of dupes in – in t/his case – American society. 

Recognizing and “naming” the un- and semi-conscious traditions and mentality in which one was raised, and in and by which most still live around you.

It was sometime in the 1990s that I, on a US visit from Moscow, first saw “Fox News”. After about 15 minutes of “nightly news” I said in confusion: “But this is not news; this is opinions”.

And what Trump describes as a “absolute lovefest” was of course, full of all manners of hate. No one who is to be taken seriously would see any other.

The richest man in the world is destitute of morality, insight, knowledge, and wisdom.

As appropriate existential, intellectual anesthesia.

The obliviousness of those who believe Trump is actually for them.

There are national traditions of fear in society.
