    Während meine vielleicht tiefsten „persönlichen“ und emotionalen Beziehungen immer noch die zu Freunden und Familie in meiner „Heimatstadt“ sind – wo ich mich 5/7 meines Lebens nicht „zu Hause“ gefühlt habe – ist es für mich sinnlos, meine eigenen persönlichen, intellektuellen Positionen in Bezug zu ihrem im Wesentlichen gedankenlosen, traditionellen Leben zu setzen. Und dann waren da noch die “happy, smiling” Spiritualisten in Kalifornien, vor denen ich schließlich Anfang der 90er Jahre nach Russland floh,… oder zu den schließlich milden, den Westen kopierenden Seelen Moskaus,… oder dann zu den sub specie academiae Intellektuellen von Harvard…

  • Not “where”, but within what…

    Less essential than where one resides is amid what social psyche.

    Though most live within the social psyche aware dominantly of where.

    Probably I need less some personal declaration of inner independence from the polity of the USA, than an inner sesession, or inner exile. For the reelection of an individual I have recognized as unquestionably unfit for the presidency (and many other positions) is probably a true revelation of the demos, or at least that sufficient quantity of it to reelect an unfit man for president.
