The failed coup
How seriously can one take the America demos, when perhaps half of it does not even acknowledge a coup attempt now more than two years ago.

Whispers in Russian kitchens, again?
“Telegram” notes to a Russian friend, to read then delete: You are, of course, living in a world, an environment, of real enforced lies and deception. Clearly true. Willingly accepted by the majority dupes, whether they be innocent or guilty of their dupeddom.
I wonder how this society of lies around you compares to the lies of society of eg the 1970s and 1980s in the USSR? What is the same? What is different? How?
But of course now the peril of truth, prison or less, at a time of war, gives everything a reality much more than that of the façade of social order and political doctrine of the late Soviet days.

The religion of political parties
With all the different denominations and churches, and God, God seems far away, it is much more appealing to agree on one’s political enemies.

Holy, Wholly, Holey
There is no subject, no story, no experience, no belief,… however so high and holy as scholars(hip), cannot, desiccate, destroy, deaden.
But then scholars, of course, are men.

Field theory
Most, in fact, all, men and women live in a field of ideas, it’s just that most don’t know it, are unaware of it.

“Continents” in America
If ” no man is an island”, I prefer to be part of a continent of those who need the life and insights of books. Certainly there is, if only by the fate of birth and upbringing, a “continent” of society, of heart and soul, and death…yet that is far from enough for those who in their islandic selves need and seek insights and ununderstanding. If “no Man is an Island”… then these would be self-educed non-islands.

“By God…”
Is “God” (and/or Gawd) not (ab)used as a kind of fairy dust many sprinkle on their doings?
Deep in the night, my body wake, I work while most about sleep.
One of the deepest aspects of the waking sleep of man is of “conscience”, spoken thoughtlessly — and that whether at Harvard or in common public mass voice.

The best hours

Full moon night. Wind sounding over the Blue Ridge Parkway mountains through the bare trees… Rereading on Hesse’s politics and/vs Self in Steppenwolf, after yesterday’s considering that of Emerson and Nietzsche.

Adam’s Politics
There is a “right” and “left” in the human social psyche.
