Wisdom and Courage in the US Senate?

Considering the long history of the demos, it should not be surprising that an individual clearly unqualified to be president the first time was reelected. The fate of the US constitutional order seems to depend on the traditionally believed wisdom, the seniors knowledge, of the Senate. Though it will likely rather depend on the courage of a few individual Senators.
