Essentially it is irrelevant, and surely has in the main for centuries been, that Pythagoras founded his school here. He would certainly be, were he to come today, no more welcomed here than he was in Samos, from which he needed to escape two millennia ago. Still, I needed to travel: to Samos with its legendary caves of Pythagoras,, and now finally to find his nonexistent remains here in Crotone.
