Day 33, Naples, Vergils tomb

Virgil’s empty tomb?

Italian couple I met in the Park of Virgil, told me that the tomb was down below, and when they looked on their phones for information, found that they had just been standing beside it. Not unusual for locals to not know where they are, or major monuments.

The past is irrelevant to most peoples, conscious present.

How many get tattoos in a trivial time of their life, and then never mature enough to regret it?

The physical interests of man will lead to his freeze physical doom

Piazza Dante, Naples

From Piazza Dante this evening, to Pythagoras’ Crotone tomorrow.

I can imagine no good purpose arising to return to Naples ever again.
